This form is for those wishing to apply to become a member of Dog Lovers of Monte Cecilia Incorporated (DLMC). DLMC is a society which has been created to:
1. advocate for dog owners in Auckland to continue to be able to let their dogs off-leash under their control at any time in the naturally formed bowl on the north-eastern side of Monte Cecilia Park between the Pah Homestead and the Knoll;
2. promote and protect the interests of dog owners who rely upon being allowed to let their dogs off-leash under their control in the aforementioned area at Monte Cecilia Park to exercise, care for and promote the wellbeing of their dogs;
3. promote and protect the interests of dogs in Auckland who rely upon being let permissibly off-leash but under their owner’s control in the aforementioned area at Monte Cecilia Park by their owners;
4. promote and protect the interests of dogs, responsible dog owners and dog-allies in Auckland; and
5. promote and ensure informed and democratically accountable decision-making by all public authorities affecting dogs, responsible dog-owners and dog allies in Auckland.
By completing this form, you are applying to join DLMC. The Committee or any Officer it delegates power to under its Constitution will consider and approve/decline your application to join based on your answers in this application in accordance with the DLMC Constitution.
By completing this form, you acknowledge that:
The personal information you provide will only be used by DLMC for the purposes of assessing your suitability to be a member of DLMC and otherwise to enable you to be a member of DLMC in accordance with the DLMC Constitution, if your membership is accepted.
If you are approved for membership, you agree to DLMC sending you emails and other notices using the contact information you have provided for the purposes of keeping you updated on DLMC’s actions, and to otherwise be a member of DLMC.
Your personal information shall not be shared with any third parties, and will be held in accordance with the DLMC Constitution and otherwise as required by the Incorporated Societies Act 2022.
If your application is not approved, your personal information shall be deleted.
